Update v0.2.3 - Did someone say "VOIP"?

Hey Everyone,

Tonight we're adding our first iteration of 3d positional VOIP into Down To One. We're excited to see the new player-player interactions this creates, so dust off your microphones, and jump on in!

Read on for the full patchnotes.

Additions and Improvements

  • Added directional VOIP -Hold down B to start speaking (currently there is no UI indicator) -If you want to mute VOIP in the starting area, simply turn your SFX volume in-game down to 0 -We are looking to improve the quality of the VOIP codec in the future
  • The playable area moves to its target location over a longer period of time
  • Doors on houses can now be closed
  • Improved throwaway animation
  • Added basic player list (accessed through the in-game menu)
  • Added "Demo" gamemode, which is suited to 2 players -In "Demo", the playable area starts sooner and shrinks more frequently, and will always target Aras as an end point -We'll be showcasing Down To One tomorrow at the Perth AniGames event, if you live in Perth, come say hi!

Bug fixes

  • The playable area is now actually visible when it comes into effect, instead of only becoming visible on first decrease
  • Fixed firemode not working sometimes (thanks Yester!)
  • Fixed pistol animation bugging out when transitioning from running-walking
