Hello Villagers,
We are thrilled to share exciting updates about our game in development, Village of Vagabonds. In this DevLog, we’ll delve into the challenges you’ll face on your journey and the unique cooperative experiences that await. In a world where every decision matters, we invite you to explore what lies ahead.
Crafting System – Empower Yourself Through Artisanship
With the crafting system we’re currently working on, you’ll be able to create your own equipment as you explore the world, fight, and strive to survive. This system is designed to make your gameplay more strategic, engaging, and rewarding. Crafting your own gear will not only make you stronger in combat but also enhance your exploration of the world!
Craftable Items
Weapons: Enhance your equipment, like swords, axes, and bows, with runes for added power.
Armor: Create armor ranging from light leather to heavy steel, tailored to your strategy.
Utility Items: Use potions, traps, and poison bombs to change the tide of battle strategically.
Crafting Process
Base Camp Crafting Stations: Safe zones will feature advanced crafting stations for creating powerful gear.
Portable Crafting Kits: While traveling, you can use portable kits to quickly make potions or traps when the going gets tough.
Risk and Reward
Rare materials will be found in high-risk areas. By paying attention to the gods’ demands, you can create powerful equipment and earn special rewards.
Gods and Offering System – Power and Strategy
In this medieval world, the Gods’ Wishes and the Offering System do more than just empower players; they also provide strategic options based on your playstyle. This system is designed to add depth and significance to your battles and explorations. Each God offers unique bonuses and influences to shape your gameplay. (However, betraying your chosen god may invoke divine curses upon you.)
The Gods
Each God provides unique bonuses that cater to different playstyles. Here are some examples:
Solorath (God of War)
Bonuses: Increased damage and divine effects on weapons.
Playstyle: Ideal for aggressive warriors and high-damage players.
Special Effects: When your weapon fills with the blood of battle, dedicate the blood of heretics to Solorath to imbue your blade with his fury. Extra armor penetration against Knight Zombies allows you to deal more effective damage.
Lumina (Goddess of Wisdom): Bonuses for stealth and exploration.
Terramor (God of Nature): Survival and environmental interaction bonuses.
Umbra (God of Shadows): Enhanced stealth and escape abilities.
Types of Offerings
By presenting different types of offerings to the gods, you can gain power. Examples include:
Weapons: Dedicate weapons to your god to temporarily empower them.
Materials: Offer rare materials to obtain unique rune effects.
Gold: Gain general bonuses and power enhancements.
Special Loot: Offer story-related rare items to gain significant effects.
Solorath’s Skill Tree – The Power of War
Solorath is the god of war and strength. Offerings to him grant warriors significant advantages, such as increased damage and speed. His Skill Tree allows players to enhance their combat abilities, increase their survivability, and become even more formidable warriors.

For now, we’ve reached the end of this Devlog. We’re heading back to sharpen our swords and expand the realms of our game for the upcoming challenges. Of course, one of our heroes got a bit too excited after drinking a little too much potion and tried to fight a chicken instead of a dragon—we’ll have to sort that out too! We can’t wait to bring you exciting new updates. Stay tuned, and see you in the next devlog! Peace, victory, and plenty of loot be with you! ⚔️
