News Roundup; Content Update 1 release date/Build Competition/Dev Diary 1

Hi all,

We thought we’d provide you with a nice round up on what is coming up this week and what is currently ongoing.

CONTENT UPDATE 1

We’re delighted to announce that we’re aiming for the first Content Update to land on Friday July 3rd. We don’t have an exact set time, but as we’re based in the UK, you can expect it to arrive fairly early if you’re in the US, and fairly late in the evening if you one of our friends from Asia and Russia.

You’ll be able to explore caves, visit a whole new biome and discover a selection of new characters, creatures, items and vehicles. We’ll also be including a few interior props to make your houses more like a home. On top of that we are introducing a few technical updates at the request of the community, including a Windowed mode, Camera Y-Axis Inversion options, and a new brick in the Brick-by-Brick editor; an Inverted Corner Slope (3676): http://cache.lego.com/media/bricks/5/1/4552039.jpg

Along with the above Technical updates, we’re also rolling out more graphics options to players so that they’re able to tailor the settings to match their systems, allowing players to get the best out of their systems and improve performance on an individual basis.
We’re also adding several bug fixes, and hope to have resolved some of the early issues that users have had. If you do experience any issues, then head to our bug reporting forum, and we’ll see if there’s anything that we can do to help. The forum is here:

We’ll keep you up-to-date on the launch, and will post an announcement once it is live, including some more in depth patch notes to go with it.

GET YOUR BUILD IN LEGO WORLDS!

Our competition to have a build of yours entered into LEGO Worlds, and a chance of having your name added to the credits is still live, but only for a few more hours! The competition closes tonight, so hurry to have your creation included. Info can be found here:
