Exactly two years ago I released the first alpha version of KeeperRL. Watch this video to see what it looked like. I remember someone said back then that they feel it could be a big hit, which led me to take its development seriously. I'm not sure if I fulfilled that prophecy, but I can't say I'm not happy :-)
