Hello, Human God.
This is the Horizon Walker Development Team.
Today, we'd like to introduce a new quality-of-life feature for Auto-Battle that many Human Gods have been asking for: Priority Target.
Getting the most out of your Vanguards often comes down to the support they receive from the rest of the team. Buffs can bring out the full potential of your main damage dealers, while healing can make all the difference when the battle takes a turn for the worse.
However, during Auto-Battle, buffs and healing would sometimes go to Vanguards who weren't the intended targets. We've received a great deal of feedback asking for more control over this behavior.
To make Auto-Battle more convenient while adding a little more room for strategy, the Priority Target feature will be added with the August 13 update.
What Is a Priority Target?
You can designate the key member of your squad as its Priority Target.
During Auto-Battle, the Priority Target will be given priority when allies use various buff skills.
If the Priority Target is within range of a buff skill, the AI will prioritize them when selecting a target.
Setting Your Priority Target
By default, the Human God will be set as the squad's Priority Target.
If the squad does not include the Human God, the Vanguard occupying the Demi-God slot will be selected instead.
You can change the Priority Target from the Squad Formation screen.
Open the Vanguard app on your phone and go to Squad Formation. Select the squad you wish to edit.
Tap the Priority Target button next to the level of the deployed Human God or Vanguard.
If the selected character is already the Priority Target, tapping the button will have no effect.
When the focus target is changed, a pop-up window will appear to re-confirm the change.
Once the change is confirmed, the Priority Target button next to the selected Human God or Vanguard will turn yellow.
The button for the previous Priority Target will return to gray.
