Greetings!
The latest update for Gloria Victis has just been released. One of the changes it introduces is addition of merchants who offer useful crafting materials. There are also numerous gameplay and interface improvements. Hits detection and servers’ performance has been improved as well, which effects in better experience in combat. Moreover, we would like to start new month with sharing with you what we are working on. Read about our plans for November!
Rework of character model and character creation system
To implement new animations, we had to rework model of player character. Our artists are currently adding more details and customization options and they will work on playable female characters next. Due to rework of the character’s model also we had to improve character creation system. It will come with questions a player will have to answer, therefore writing personal story of their avatar. Answers will also have an impact on the starting archetype.
Glory system
Our designers are working on expanding the reputation formula. Brand new Glory system will allow players and guilds to compete in complex ranking system, counting in like every single action taken in the Gloria Victis world. Climbing up the rank tables will be rewarded with numerous precious rewards and personal titles, which will be unique for each season.
Dunfen overhaul
We are reworking the town and castle of Dunfen, main settlement of Midlanders. It will become much bigger and more user-friendly at the same time, greatly increasing first experience of new players. Moreover, suburb area of Dunfen will be improved as well, making it easier and more enjoyable for newcomers to start the journey through the lands of Gloria Victis.
Player-controlled settlements overhaul
Some of our programmers are reworking the fortifications system so the design team will soon be able to rework and enlarge player-controlled towns and castles. Thanks to this we will also be able to easily add new settlements, including impressive, player-built town in the Northern part of the Stoneholm Island.
Animations overhaul
Next motion capture animations are currently being recorded. We want to have all planned animations ready to work on by the end of this month. We will have a lot of work with polishing them and preparing to use them in game but they should be patched in on December. You can check how animations for one-handed weapons with shield look like on the recently released the work-in-progress trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUJeNlkYJ-g
