1. Dramatically altered the introduction of the game.
- Removed the 'Captains Log' opener.
- Altered Rana's introduction, to remove complexity, she now joins the crew immediately.
- New CG is in development for inclusion at this stage. (not included yet)
- Rana won't call you captain!
- Adjusted a rana love variable.
- Added new plutostation location image.
- Removed most of russel Scenes, as he is no longer a prime crew member
- Kept his initial meeting scene in for comic relief. (he will reappear later in the game)
- Adjusted Alicia's joining of the ship into a simpler form, in light of Russel Changes.
- Introduced Thea as a standard member of the crew, altered story to suit the new plan.
- minor edits to various text segments, relating to new story content.
- Updated Earth Visit Section
- Removed Dex offering to join the crew.
(Dex is now a permanent Doctor of the sol system)
- Removed Mineko's Scene, a new event for her is being added later in the game.
- Added a new section to intro: powering up thea.
- First jump changed to Pluto station.
- Mineko replaced with Thea as scanner crew member.
The aim of these adjustments is to shorten the introduction and get the player to the Galaxy Map faster, thus allowing them to learn quickly that they have the freedom to choose where to go on the galaxy map and what adventures to enjoy. Feedback suggested this initial series of decisions that had no impact on the game were not enjoyable.
2. Updated the Starship exploration events in-between Missions.
- Removed Ronan Dex as no longer a crew member.
- Added brief intro via final private log about Ronan being at pluto station.
3. Adjusted the framework to make future updates easier.
- Included adjustments so that we can add additional in-game effects for owning various DLC.
- Significant adjustments to internal layouts of files and archiving methods.
- Removed outdated Patreon Image link from main menu.
- Added new BG and Music Buttons to main menu
4. Added New DLC Component - Soundtrack Music Player
- When player owns Soundtrack DLC, a new system is activated:
= Music Player: which allows player to play any song in game.
- When Soundtrack is not owned, a different dialogue appears,
= Explaining about the DLC and linking to the steam store page.
- Entire OST by Sam Jones currently implemented.
- Other Track lists to be added in future updates.
5. Added New DLC Component - Wallpapers Background Selector
- When player owns Wallpapers DLC, a new system is activated:
= Background Selector: which allows player to select the main menu background.
- When Wallpapers DLC is not owned, a different dialogue appears
= Explaining about the DLC and linking to the steam store page.
- Currently nine of the wallpapers have been integrated into the Background Selector
- more to come in future updates.
6. Bug Fixes
- Fixed a few spelling errors and grammar issues in the intro.
