Basic steel armor
This update includes a few armor plates that can be used on a variety of vehicles.
The plates are not part of the plating/skin system that we've talked about in our previous posts. For that we'll need more time to ensure that it is user friendly and contains all the necessary tools for customization.
We did get a lot of requests for parts that can be used as plating however and we've noticed an increase in vehicles where parts are used as plating. Therefore we added a few pre-made armor plates that can be found in the parts browser.
Have a look at these screenshots to get a better idea of what to expect.
Currently the only included material is steel; it'll add weight to your creation and affect its behavior, but it will certainly protect your vital parts in combat. As you can see, the parts can be used both as 'plating' and armor at the same time. Once the final system is in place however, using them mainly for additional armor instead of cosmetics.
New demo
As of today an up to date demo version is available on Steam. It has a bunch of new features and supports cross-play with the pre-alpha owners. Soon you'll be able to read more about the changes we've made on our website
