While workshop is a great place to share your creations you sometimes simply don't have the time or interest to search workshop and modify their controls. In addition to the current methods for sharing vehicles we'll be adding a new feature which will make trying out new vehicles easier than ever. Here's why!
Vehicle pick-ups
Pick-ups you say? Exactly, the new build has multiple locations (shown by a yellow indicator) spread around the world where you'll find good handling vehicles with controls that have been set up for both keyboard and controllers (basic Xbox layout). Simply go to one of these locations, the vehicle will spawn and be ready for your use.
Another fun thing that has to be mentioned about this change is the fact that the vehicles don't need to be downloaded and work in both multiplayer and singleplayer. To keep things optimized and organized the vehicles won't be added to your inventory which also means that you won't be able to edit them.
The previous post also mentioned that we want to provide you guys with the tools you need to customize your servers. We're also aware that a lot of you have created a ton of vehicles and our goal for the future is the addition of a system that allows you to place custom vehicles when you're setting up your server.
What's next?
So far we've talked about vehicle pick-ups, in-game tutorial display and some of the multiplayer changes. Since gaming is a social happening we'll be focussing our next post on the new chat and some of the awesome things that it allows you to do.
