Today is a day worth celebrating—we can finally say that the demo for Rhythm Hotel is now available!
We look forward to everyone downloading and trying it out, and we welcome all kinds of feedback.
If you like it, please consider adding it to your wishlist.
Who are we?
We are three individuals deeply passionate about rhythm games and avid fans of Rhythm Heaven.
The initial inspiration for creating Rhythm Hotel came from the pure joy we experienced with Rhythm Heaven—its unexpected visuals, absurdly funny scenarios, and perfectly timed rhythm—all of which left a lasting impression on us.
We hope to bring this same joy to more players in our own unique way.
What is Rhythm Hotel?
It is a hotel existing within a rift in time and space, where characters from different eras and worlds might accidentally find themselves staying.
You’ll encounter Einstein taking a selfie with his tongue out, Socrates engaged in a kicking match with a donkey, and Zhang Fei determined to become cultured…
Here, they’re on vacation, letting loose, and you’ll be personally arranging their “rhythm holidays.”
We believe this setting will deliver plenty of laughs and surprises that feel both familiar and delightfully unexpected.
Thank you to everyone who has been with us on this journey.
First and foremost, we want to thank the players who participated in the playtests and everyone who has tried, supported, and encouraged us along the way.
Your feedback and enthusiasm gave us the confidence to present this demo to a wider audience.
We also want to extend a special thanks to all the collaborators who joined the project—it’s your countless days and nights of hard work that made this possible.
Demo Features
💥 Easy to pick up, challenging to master: All levels can be played with just one key. But to master them? Syncopated rhythms, off-beats, rests, and subdivided rhythms—none can be avoided.
💥 High-quality music: The demo features music by the renowned artist Onoken, with more tracks from other talented musicians to be included in the full game.
💥 Historical figure references: Socrates’ “If a donkey kicks me, must I kick it back?” Einstein’s famous photo? Zhang Fei’s “Me too!”? These classic memes will be reinterpreted with a humorous twist.
What’s next for us?
We will focus our efforts on developing additional levels and content.
Due to our small team size, we won’t be able to juggle too many tasks at once.
However, whether it’s feedback from playtests or suggestions following the demo’s release, we will approach every piece of input with careful consideration.
Our sole goal is to deliver the best possible gaming experience.
The hotel welcomes your collaboration!
Rhythm Hotel has always aimed to create alongside players.
We sincerely invite everyone to contribute ideas for level design—with your creativity, the hotel will become even more vibrant, leading to more unexpected gameplay and stories.
