Changelog 14th April (1.35952)

General

  • Fixed a problem with the AI that caused small, unnoticeable memory leak.
  • Added a specialized damage popup for Counter Attacks. "# Counter attack!"

UI/FrontEnd

  • Fixed Republic faction logo to what it should be on the profile page.
  • PvP Matchmaking improvements.

Balance Changes

  • Alliance Airborne General No longer gives 2 range boost. Instead: Cost 5 MP, 3 HP, immobile. Can attack Forward/Diagonal/Vertical, and target ally moves forward two tiles and gains +1 Attack for one turn. We had experimented with a lot of units with passive boosts, but decided in the end to move away from that a bit, so this change brings the Airborne General more in line with that philosophy and will hopefully work well with the Alliance’s many Slow or Immobile units.
  • Alliance Force Coordinator No longer gives 1 range boost. Instead, in addition to the Assault ability it can now move a target ally forward one tile each turn. Range 1, vertical only. Replacing the range boost like for the Airborne General. The range is vertical only to distinguish it from the Command Half-track, which targets forwards. The Command Half-track should be better for pushing units ahead of it, while the Force Coordinator gives you a one time double push forwards on deploy, and is then well suited to pushing newly placed units off the starting column.
  • Alliance Red Devils Attack reduced to 2 from 3. In conjunction with their ability to gain a Shield whenever an enemy dies and attacking in almost all directions, this could make them near impossible to take on without Command Cards or good damage reduction abilities.
  • Alliance Resonator Cost increased to 7 from 6, HP reduced to 3 from 4. A very powerful support unit which is still tough to kill and can hit both enemies and allies at range. Particularly with the attack modification fixed, a cost increase seemed in order.
  • Alliance Storm Troopers Attack reduced to 4 from 5, HP reduced to 4 from 5. Their reduce attack ability and regeneration was being undervalued. Rather than increase their cost or change those abilities, they get an Attack and HP reduction instead (and they’re still tough).

Unit Fixes

  • Improvements to Flying Fortress skins and visual effects.
  • Altered Maginot Turret's proportions.
  • Stimm Team tooltip has been corrected.
  • Valiant Colonel visual effects improved.
  • B-25 Strafing Run now deals damage to both enemies and allies.
  • Quartermaster should take damage upon ability use of its ability (whereas it did not before).
