Greetings, horror enthusiasts!
Since the release of DreamBack VR, we’ve been hard at work conceptualizing a project that takes horror to new, terrifying heights. This time, we’re venturing into uncharted territory with an interactive, multiplayer focus. Our vision? To create a chilling, cooperative experience where teamwork, interaction, and fear collide.
A New Direction: Multiplayer Horror
Enter Withering Reflections, a multiplayer 4v1 asymmetrical horror game where fear is both your enemy and your greatest ally. Players take on the roles of either survivors or killers in a haunting realm governed by the enigmatic force known as the Echo.
Current Progress
We’re excited to share that Withering Reflections is already in its early multiplayer peer-to-peer stage! Here’s where we currently stand:
Characters
The roster includes two killers and four survivors, each with their own rich backstories and compelling reasons for being trapped in this twisted world.
Core Mechanics
Prototyping is well underway for gameplay mechanics, including unique abilities for killers and survivors. These are being carefully balanced to ensure a challenging yet rewarding experience.
Gameplay Elements: From reflection-based mechanics to dynamic hide-and-seek strategies, we’re working to make every match tense, unpredictable, and immersive.
Early Development
UI, settings, icons, and controls are still in their infancy, but these elements will receive dedicated attention as we progress.
What’s Next?
Our journey has just begun. The road ahead is filled with challenges, but it’s also brimming with opportunities to create something extraordinary. With your support, we’ll continue to push boundaries, refine mechanics, and craft an experience that horror fans will remember.
