Demo Update
• The demo version has been updated to match the content of the Early Access version.
About Demo
It seems the demo was released too early. Internally, things are still changing frequently, making it difficult to manage the demo.
I currently considering one of the following three options:
• Not releasing the demo until it reaches a certain stage.
• Leaving it as is and not updating it further.
• Updating only when there are major changes.
Past
There were side effects caused by using new technologies.
These issues emerged from using World Partition and VT-related features for the first time.
Recently, i believe i have resolved most of the errors related to DX12 and have consequently discontinued DX11 support.
Current
There are five major areas planned:
• Basement
• Twisted Forest
• Desert
• Snowfield
• Joseon Dynasty
The Basement and Forest are complete, and with this update, the Desert is about 50% finished.
Planned NPCs
• Merchant
• Fragment Management
• Reward Exchange
Except for the Merchant, NPCs currently have no dedicated models, so placeholder models are used.
Humanoid NPCs, which are used for quests and environmental narration, have been implemented using MetaHumans.
NPCs to be Added
• Basic Skill Sales NPC: This NPC will sell skills that can be used at the beginning, and functionality will be provided using temporary modeling resources.
Planned Characters
• White Tiger
• Wolf
• Fox
Among these, only the White Tiger is playable.
The White Tiger is designed as a melee-focused character, intended to dodge and follow up with additional attacks.
If all goes well, the Wolf might be added as a playable character before summer.
The Wolf is planned as a mid-range character that throws talismans to build stacks and uses magic attacks based on those stacks.
Future
While working on the Twisted Forest, I unexpectedly ended up handling the level design by myself.
To save time, I reused pre-generated terrain, which resulted in an overly large level.
I now believe that a residential area in the desert would be a more appropriate scale for future content.
The initial plan was to finish the Desert and then rework the Forest area, but it now seems better to start revising the Forest first. If possible, trolls and goblins will also be replaced.
