Like Bad Plan, RisingTide is a fairly small, young business in a difficult industry. They are keen to make an impact, and (importantly) we both see eye to eye in terms of business, the industry and shared values. Their Steam page states:
It's like you've known us all our life! All our discussions have been direct, no bullshit, and really focussed on a plan to get this game in front of as many people as possible. In honour of the announcement Dan did a video announcement to go with the special Ember-fied version of the publisher logo:
And on Ember specifically, the Tide says: "Heartfelt gore meets Isaac in the Gungeon. Also, does Dan really write children's books? I worry about the children. And possibly the books."
In announcing this exciting news we'd like to thank the organisers of GAME AiCON Seoul (shoutout to Fred) for bringing together such a great industry event in Korea, as well as all the people who received pitches, gave feedback, and helped refine this game into the ball-to-the-wall proposition that it is.
