Happy New Year, Emberites! Here’s hoping you had a bit of a break and some good times with family and/or friends towards the end of the year and you’re facing 2025 with renewed energy and vigour. End of Ember is kicking along and we’ve got some exciting updates to share with you.

Our wishlists are now tracking at 481 - thanks to everyone who has added the game! We really appreciate that support and it keeps us going. We are hoping to have a few big events this year which will get us some spikes to track us towards our Wishlist goal for release.

Probably the biggest news is that we have had huge growth in Bluesky - we are now looking at 888 followers! IYKYK: Bluesky is like old-school social media, something like Twitter in 2012. There is no punishing algorithm, you can really curate your own feed, and in general there is a strong vibe of community and positivity. So if you’re looking for a good social media experience, check it out! (Protip: Google ‘Bluesky Starter Pack’ + whatever you’re into - video games, cycling, underwater basket weaving - and you’ll get kicked off with a curated list of cool accounts to follow.)
Our best performing post this month was a throwback to the introduction devlog for Eli: he’s just the best, and makes everything in the game work. Love ya guts, E!

As always, you can join us on any of our socials (links at the bottom of this page).

We are SO EXCITED at our current development: we’re just inches away from our current production goal, which is to replicate the AVCon build we had in June, but in the new project. As of today we are about 90% of the way towards completing the full game loop: that’s the intro/tutorial, a cutscene to take us into the main game, all the rooms, shop and Mutator, obviously all the enemies and upgrades, and the boss.
You can keep track of where we are at by following us on any of our socials, and you won’t miss gold like gore updates!
For those who won’t be able to make it to SAGE in February, we plan to share the build via Steam or Itch so you can still be part of the fun. We’ll also have some competitions and giveaways that will be designed to include folks online, so stay tuned!

If you're not local to Adelaide, stay tuned to hear about playtesting, competitions and other stuff we have planned.

Due to the holiday season we have been a bit up and down as some of us have had some much-needed rest. But perhaps the most exciting development is that we took delivery of the shirts Dan designed! We love them a lot and so does the community - almost all of the first run were snapped up through pre-orders, so we hope to do another run for SAGE. If you want in, hit us up with your shirt size at [email protected].

That’s it for this one - don’t forget to like, comment and share this to help feed that algo.
Thanks for reading and catchya soon!
Love
Chad, Dan and Eli
