Newbie Gameplay Tips
We recommend to anyone who has not tried duel mode to please give it a shot! Wickland mechanics were specifically designed and balanced for this mode. We believe it is what makes Wickland truly different. Our goal with Wickland was to inject fighting game elements (Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter, etc.) into the arena FPS genre. The focus on duel mode is also our passion for traditional 1 vs 1 sports such as Kendo, Boxing, Karate, Judo, etc., in which we believe anyone can have a great time with.
The duel mode is also what makes ranking counts. Your personal avatar that appears in the lobby will be determined by the beast or character that you are skilled with in duels. So if you are very good with Ramskull, your avatar will be represented by it. We have written an algorithm specifically for this to analyze how well you perform with each character.
Through our passion for fighting games and traditional 1 vs 1 sports, we put a lot of effort in creating a very distinct, fast-paced, 1 frag fighting style game for the FPS genre. We hope that by doing so, we are introducing something fresh and exciting that has not been done for many years.
