Hello
I'm happy to announce a new rework coming to A Developer Nightmare!
As you may know, this game is made by just one guy… and that’s me.
I have some good and baddish news to share. So, let’s get into it!
Good News
Let’s start with the exciting part—the game rework!
The game is shifting to a 2D style, which might sound like a crazy move, but I truly believe this change will allow me to create more content while maintaining high quality. This update also comes with a complete engine switch to Unity to improve development efficiency.
Key Changes:
- Moving from 3D to 2D
- Game rework with a new engine (Unity)
Baddish News
Now, onto the "not-so-great" part.
As usual, I overthought the project and made it multiplayer from the start—which, in hindsight, was not necessary. So, I have to make the tough call:
🚨 Multiplayer will NOT be included at launch. 🚨
That said, multiplayer is still in my plans and something I want to add down the line!
Fun Fact:
I’ve remade this game three times now... in three different engines (Godot Engine, Unreal Engine, Unity). Why do I do this to myself?
What’s Next?
The game will be released, but I can’t commit to a precise date yet—I want to make sure it’s good before launching.
Stay tuned for more devlogs!
I’ll be sharing sneak peeks and more in-depth details soon.
Thanks for your patience and support!
