Attention Agents:
We have recently received reports that some players purchased game keys through non-Steam channels (such as Taobao or unauthorized third-party platforms) and fell victim to "Fake Library" scams. Games obtained through these unofficial channels cannot connect to our servers and are ineligible for technical support. To protect your rights and digital assets, please be vigilant and verify the following information:
1. Verify the Activation Code Format:
Official Steam keys for [Insert English Game Title, e.g., Mystery Deduction] are strictly 15 characters long (Format: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).
Warning: If a seller provides a 25-character key, please be extremely cautious! We have not issued such keys. These are often characteristic of extremely old generic keys or fraudulent "fake library" exploits.
2. Stick to Standard Steam Activation:
Some sellers may ask you to open the "Run" window or "Command Prompt (CMD)" on your PC and enter specific codes. Do not do this. These codes often contain malicious scripts that can infect your computer or steal private data.
Legitimate activation only requires entering the Product Key directly inside the Steam client.
Red Flag: Any request for remote control (e.g., TeamViewer) or asking to operate on your behalf is a high-risk scam. Handing over control of your PC to strangers can lead to Steam account theft, inventory/item theft, and serious financial loss.
PS: If you experience network lag or difficulty connecting to Steam, please try using a Network Accelerator (Game Booster). Most accelerators offer free acceleration for the Steam platform itself.
Please stay alert and reject "Fake Library" scams! This is not only about whether you can play [Game Title] smoothly, but also about the safety of your Steam account and digital property.
(Just imagine our balding tech support guy, nervously spending hours troubleshooting a "server connection issue" remotely for a player, only to discover it was a fake copy... The few hairs he had left are now gone. 😭)
Thank you for your continued support!
