IndieDB's quest to find the best(?) 100 indie games
So I want to start off today's newsletter with indieDB's INDIE OF THE YEAR 2015. Did we win the award??? No...but the title of this newsletter may have tricked you into thinking that. For some of you who are not familiar with IndieDB, it's basically an website devoted to indie games, and they're currently accepting votes to decide Top 100 indie games of 2015. Our game still has a long way to go, but things like this is a great way to get some exposure, (looks like game media heavyweights like Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, and VG24/7 will keep their eyes on this), so if you could just head over to our indieDB page (which hadn't been updated for quite a while, but I will be updating more often from now on. I think it's better than Tumblr to get the words out.), and hit that Vote button, that would be highly appreciated. (Of course if you think Dicetiny deserves a vote that is!) Only ONE DAY LEFT! Campfire! (The Campfire? not sure what to call it.)
What is the Campfire, that is the question.
- Your hero can heal his HP here.
- Each time you enter the Campfire, you spend "One Day". Which means you have to complete the whole game within a given time limit. (28 days for now, and the World as you know it ends...)
- So basically here, you can heal/manage your deck/manage your relics(What is relic? i will tell you more about it in later updates)/meet dealers(?) Whoa, hold your horses, dealers? Can you tell me more about them? Sure thing!
There are Relic Hunter/Spell-card Dealer/Minion-card Dealer, and there's 30% chance for each of them to appear at the Campfire. (So you may see all of them one night, and none of them the other night). Again more details on Relic will be revealed soon. Speaking of Relic, I LOVED "This Show " back in the 90's.

As you can see, we're transforming the game so that it will be more PC and RPG-like. (For some of you who don't know about our past, we'd been actually developing this game for the mobile devices for awhile and switched the focus to PC.) And yes. I like 80's rocks. https://youtu.be/GwwaS7dNkF4
When can I see this update in the actual game you ask? This big update will probably take place sometime in January. That means no update in December? There maybe, but it will not be a big one. Sorry guys.
Our new indie friend, Gremlins Inc.
No, I'm not talking about him...
I've been on the lookout for fellow indie devs with whom we can share information as well as seek possibilities together to co-promote our games, and Gremlins immediately caught my eyes. I sent a hello email and the nice fellows in Lithuania helped us out giving us tips and introducing us to some really talented people. We launched around similar time, and they have whopping 95% positive reviews! The game's artstyle is the thing of envy to any indie developers. I played about 30 minutes the other day, and if you like board games, I'm pretty sure you will be hooked immediately not just for the artstyle but also the sound effects and unique and deep gameplay. I will probably continue trying to reach out to other indie developers, and this is not going to be an one time thing as I will continue to mention about the game on our social media channels.
