Launch Day Wrapup + Mac Release

Hello fellow dungeoneers,

We've had a busy day here on our launch day! Just to say we are a tiny team working our hardest to make sure Guild of Dungeoneering is as good as possible for everyone. Thank you for your support!

Bugfixes

We had a couple of hiccups. First of all there was a bug where until you had a savegame the game didn't properly go fullscreen. This is now fixed!

Secondly our Mac version was having some severe framerate problems so we had to disable it entirely for Mac players. We have now worked those out and this is also now fixed! This should also help the windows build as a nice side effect.

Roadmap

The game is out and we see a lot of people having fun. That's great! How about we make it even better? Here's what we intend to work on over the next while.

  • Steam Achievements
  • Battle animations + sound effects, to add a little oomph
  • Class popups showing their decks + traits in the unlock screen
  • More music & battle screen music variations (as seen in the OST)
  • Steam Trading Cards (actually we are just waiting for Valve to approve these)
  • Battle scars system (dungeoneers get them as they win quests)
  • Potions (special loot with a unique card that can only be used once)
  • A little more life in the Guild, lets have those dungeoneers wander around a bit!
  • A special 'endless dungeon' mode, separate to the campaign for highscore fun

And of course fix any other issues that come up.

Reviews

We're starting to see reviews come in and I just wanted to share this lovely one from GameSpot:

Twitch

It's been amazing to see how many people are streaming the game! We counted over 30 live streams at once earlier today. Check them out here:
