Steam Next Fest has officially begun, and I’m excited to announce that a new updated version of the demo is now live!
If you’ve been following the game, this is the perfect time to jump in and try it out. A lot of things have changed, improved, and expanded and the demo now represents much more accurately what the final version of the game will feel like.
This update is a big step forward in development, and I’m really happy with how the game is evolving. Here’s what’s new:
🔧 New Features & Improvements
⏩ Time Acceleration Added You can now speed up in-game time, giving you better control over pacing and strategy.
🪐 Planet Quick-Access Buttons Planets now have quick-access buttons that allow you to use production buildings directly, no need to enter each planet individually.
🛡️ New Unit Selection Menu A new unit selection panel has been added. You can now see all selected units grouped by type at the bottom of the screen and filter your selection to isolate specific unit types.
🧪 New Enemy: Spitters A new ranged enemy has joined the demo. Spitters attack from a distance using acid, adding a new tactical threat to deal with.
🔫 New Player Unit: Blasters Blasters are equipped with anti-armor plasma ammunition and deal bonus damage against armored enemies, giving you more strategic options in combat.
✨ Visual, Sound & General Polish Improvements Numerous sound effects, visual effects, and overall polish improvements have been added to enhance immersion.
🐛 Bug Fixes Many issues reported during the previous demo have been fixed.
💥 Crash Fixes A problem that caused occasional crashes has been resolved.
⚙️ Performance & Stability Improvements Overall game performance and stability have been significantly improved.
Development is progressing really well, and this version of the demo is a much stronger representation of the final vision for the game.
If you try the new demo, I would truly appreciate your feedback. Your input directly helps shape the game and makes it better.
And there’s something else that’s incredibly important:
Simply playing the demo during Steam Next Fest helps the game gain visibility within Steam’s algorithm. As an indie developer, that support makes a huge difference and genuinely helps the project grow.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to hear what you think about the new update!
See you in the game 🚀
