Dear all,
V1.01 has been released. As promised, we've listened and are still listening. Please make sure that you make a backup of the "save" folder under
Foresight > Properties > Local Files (tab) > Browse Local Files... (explorer opens) > "save" folder. This is only a precautionary measure in any case thing happens while updating.
V1.01's build is based on BuildID: 462462. If it's not this ID, it means the game isn't updated yet.
Fixes:
- Escape key now works to open and close the in-game options menu.
- Vsync is now no longer forced. While it's switched on by default, you could do this:
Foresight > Properties > Set Launch Options...
In it type: -novsync
- Font size adjusted for tool tip description
- Some buttons that have long descriptions now auto size the captions.
- Fixed a bug in default view when loading a game saved in a previous resolution, the items are wrongly position.
- Fixed a bug where the destruction of structures yield no points.
- Reduced unnecessary waiting times in-between missions.
- Harvester in Mission 1 will not die unless you're in the same sector as it and still do nothing to help it. It'll still take some damage, but will have a reasonable amount of hit points when Thomas Lock arrives to help.
- Enemy Frigate in Mission 1 is now destructible.
- Quota in mission 1 changed from 5000 to 4000
- Reinforcements in mission 1 now come faster
- Removed unnecessary camera locks in mission 1 during the tutorial. (especially after the combat tutorial)
- Removed unnecessary camera locks in mission 2; the ships are still locked until the player fulfils the basic steps of building a base.
- Fixed a weird problem where the waypoint/guide arrow goes missing. They're back on now.
Implementations:
- Added a load-filler screen in between long loading times. Applies to everything except single battles where loading time is almost non-existent.
- Objectives are now always shown for a short period of time whenever the game starts or is loaded from a saved game, or when there's an update to the objectives
- When a unit strays out of command radius and is selected, the player will be prompted to act upon it.
- Message is now printed to tell the player if they've attained the maximum XP allocated for the mission.
Known issues:
- Sometimes the waypoint/guide arrow points in the wrong direction. We're exploring different ways to fix this problem as soon as we can.
- Input not supported issue - as mentioned, we'll find a more elegant solution and will incorporate it into our next update. Most likely, it'll be a command you can pass as arguments into the game and there's no longer a need to switch to windowed mode.
