V1.07d-2a patch released!

Dear all,

We've released the latest patch containing some of the bug fixes we've encountered across the board while working on V1.07d-3. On top of that some behavior were improved to reduce unnecessary ship movements.

New Implementations

- UNC Ships and Structures will now display a blinking repair tool icon when they're under repairs REGARDLESS of whether they're selected or not.
- Now when ships are out of command radius, and you click on it, the 3 buttons for the comeback mechanism will be pinged to show you that they are the means to resolve out of command radius situations.

Modifications

- UNC Harvesters will no longer go back and forth the UNC Refinery before finally entering the unloading bay. The route has been redesigned to make it look more like an "aircraft landing". At least 15 seconds has been shaved, making the harvesting operations for UNC more competitive and balanced.
- Updated progress bar speeds to keep up properly. Observed many cases where the bar and percentage was still updating even when the ship has emptied all the gas. Now it's much more responsive and reliable.

Bug Fixes

- In cases where the "Personnel" button is disabled or hidden, evacuation of officers via shortcut command shouldn't be allowed and has since been fixed.
- Fixed a bug in windowed mode where pressing and releasing the ALT will cause the game to freeze. It was ascertained that Windows was trying to do its job by accessing the menu (ie, Restore, Move, Minimize, Maximize, Close). Now this menu is no longer accessible and thus will not freeze the game when you press ALT. Don't worry ALT+F4 still works.
- Fixed a bug when a character is talking and you select a shipyard, the shipyard icon will overlap the character icon.
- Fixed a bug where certain buttons that were either disabled or hidden on purpose due to tutorial and were suddenly there when you save and reload the game. This fix applies to new sessions; existing saved games will still have this problem until you restart or finish the mission.
- Fixed bugs with the fleet with the following cases:
i) Fleet attacking an enemy base, you assign it to go another sector and it continues attacking EVEN when it's not set to "Pursue And Destroy" standing orders.
ii) Fleet enroute to attack an enemy base and you suddenly change your mind to go another sector. Sometimes, 1, 2 or even 3 ships in the fleet will not respond to your command for a few seconds.
iii) Fleet being reassigned continue to attack move or be disturbed and distracted by enemy fire.
- Fixed a bug where you clicked on certain spots, ie, previous locations of a recently destroyed ship and you get an "ship is out of range" message.
- Fixed a visual cue bug where you either select a fleet, update standing orders, and do anything that changes a sprite causes it to flicker from large to small or vice-versa.
- Fixed a bug where a chosen ship to be repaired is near to the shipyard and it U-turns to move further away from the shipyard instead of facing it and starting the repairs. This applies to selection by right-clicking on a shipyard or using the global repair tool to order the ship back to the nearest shipyard for repairs.
- Fixed a bug in Multiplayer where ships that dies on the server before the client creates them causes the client to "forget" to sync when the client eventually constructs the unit. This is fixed by using a marked for death list for clients so that they'll always destroy those ships even when they're built later on.

Conclusion

V1.07d-3 is still underway with many improvements to be made to the tutorial. We also realise that exposing too many functionality for exploration may not have been a good idea afterall. We'll continue to tailor the tutorial and the mission so that everyone can pick up the necessary skills required to play Foresight.

We should take no longer than 1 week from now to release this patch and we'll move on to V1.08 proper - which we'll focus on the multiplayer lobby.

Bug fixes to be continued.

Thanks for your support as always and we look forward to updating you in the coming days.

Regards,
Jeremy
