Major Features:
New Map ‘Fuji Free Climb’
Introducing a new Tokyo inspired map that has come to Battle Mountain. Battle your fellow participants as you race up alleyways, across rooftops, and even on top of the Bullet Train, with the city skyline in the backdrop
New Game Mode ‘King of the Crowntain’
Battle fellow participants for control of the Crowntain as you climb to the top of the course, in this new King of the Hill inspired game mode for Battle Mountain. Capture and hold the Crowntain the Longest to be declared the winner
New Characters ‘Astro 0’ & ‘Marie’
- Astro 0 works at his parents’ space themed restaurant. Which happens to be built from their crashed UFO, but don't tell anyone. To help their family Astro joins battle mountain to help raise the funds to help rebuild the spaceship and travel back to their home planet
- Marie was shunned at a young age for possessing an unexplainable ability to manifest invisible objects and ran away from the orphanage where she was raised, later finding her calling in France as a Mime. Always wanting to make real friends however, she has now signed up for Battle Mountain
Special Ability Particle Effects
All characters in the current Battle Mountain line up now have unique special ability particle effects, which complement their ability types and animations
Main Menu Redesign
The main menu of Battle Mountain has received a complete redesign of its user interface (UI). This has been done to improve the navigation and visuals of the menu, while also accommodating the expanded list of options which are now accessible from the menu
General Gameplay Updates:
· Special abilities are now integrated into the Tutorial
· The Tutorial HUD has received a redesign
· The Game Setup menu has received visual improvements
· Player colours are now more prominent in the Lobby menu
· Updated the Tutorial map music, which is now a variation of the Training Grounds theme tune
· The Training Grounds map now has start and end music loops to surround the main theme tune
· Updated Map & Game mode Icons
· Removed the ‘Quick Game’ functionality from the Main Menu
· Updated the game credit’s visuals & contents
Map Updates:
· Visual improvements have been made to the Tutorial map
· The Training Grounds map now has a longer intro sequence that shows the map
Bug Fixes:
· Tutorial jump stages now recognise jumps from all platform types
· AI opponents now spawn into the tutorial level as intended
· Fixed an issue that had caused some visual aspects of the tutorial level to not render correctly
