We are aware that our latest patch (released on Monday) has introduced a rare bug that can overwrite player profiles. We think that this is only affecting a small percentage of Steam profiles and are working on a fix for this as a matter of absolute urgency. We will bring you more information as soon as possible.

UPDATE: We now have a hotfix in testing for the profile overwrite bug that several of you have reported.
We have also identified a way to avoid this bug in the meantime. If you catch a fish in Freedom Fishing, please edit your tackle box before you exit the session. To do this, go to any of the teleport boards around each lake and make a small change to one of your tackle boxes (e.g. change a rod, bait, rig.) Click yes to save the changes. Once you have done this you can exit to the main menu and exit the game.
