Hey Operators!
We’ve got big news we can finally share with you! To keep things short and informative, we're splitting this announcement into multiple parts, and we’ll reveal more of what we’ve worked on incrementally as the Early Access launch gets closer.
To kick off this series of announcements, we thought it would be cool to include one of the most impactful changes to the game. Over the past few weeks, we’ve pushed ourselves to the limit once again – and now, we’re thrilled to announce:
Echoes Below will launch into Early Access with full Coop support from day one!
The full integration still needs a bit of polish, which is why we can’t give you an exact release date just yet. But we’re doing everything we can to keep the wait as short as possible – and of course, we’ll keep you posted!
You’ll be able to choose whether to explore the archipelago and face its challenges solo or together with up to 4 players in cooperative mode.
At the same time, we’ve reworked the base-building system and added an optional modular building mode, giving you more freedom to shape your base the way you want it.
All three building tiers now feature additional modular structures that can be mixed and matched however you like. We’ll continue to add even more modular building pieces, decorative items, and full structures over time.
And last but not least, we’re happy to introduce a brand-new customization feature!
To give you a first impression of the new customization options, we're excited to showcase the brand new country flag patches. These patches can be worn by players on their equipment and clothing - for example on helmets, uniforms or plate carriers and chest rigs.
This is just the first batch of country patches, if you'd like to suggest a country flag that's not on the list yet, feel free to hop on our discord server and post your suggestion!
Here's the full list of currently included flag patches:
As mentioned in our previous update, the awesome folks at Caliber Collective are helping us stress-test Echoes Below – and we’re incredibly grateful for their support. To show our appreciation, we’re introducing their unit patch as an in-game customization option!
We’ll also be adding more patch designs in the future, so you can personalize your character even further.
Several features originally planned for post-launch updates have been moved up and are already being worked on – you’ll see these reflected in our updated roadmap on the store page soon to give you a clearer overview.
Thank you for your patience and continued support – we’re beyond excited to hear what you think!
Have a fantastic week,
– Echo Division-
