The Tree provides, The Tree protects, The Tree prevails!
The world of Nelaai is trapped in a cycle of destruction. The bones of forgotten civilisations litter its surface, lost beneath the deadly blanket of The Veil: a terrible fog which harbours madness and monster alike. The Arelian people live far above it, safe in the boughs of the mighty Ardentis trees, which house their settlements, but The Veil is rising...
Welcome to DarkSwitch, a vertical city-builder with survival elements and an emotive story filled with meaningful moral choices. In DarkSwitch, you’ll lead an expedition investigating the collapse of a research outpost on the fringes of the empire. Faced with limited resources and an increasingly aggressive environment, re-establishing the settlement is your priority.
Build on and around the trunk of a gigantic Ardentis tree, safely away from the creeping Veil beneath. But the tree can’t provide everything you need; resources must be gathered from the forest floor. Construct a network of defensive structures and bonfires to keep the Veil at bay whilst your workers toil, but be wary of the monsters who call the Veil home, they are becoming bolder by the night...
Begin an unforgettable adventure requiring strategy, planning, logistics, and bravery as you seek out the forgotten knowledge of a lost civilisation. Harness the power of the trees themselves to defend against the denizens of the Veil.
