It's a cold region perched atop colossal ancient ice fields. Its people now face the harsh reality of global warming and the danger of vast, unstable glaciers. The ice is melting at an alarming pace; massive slabs break off and drift as treacherous icebergs, threatening navigation and everyday life.

Fun fact: Lu and Nikky once came here to meditate in a secluded ice cave, and even lived in the region for a while after running away from their parents. They kept going deeper into the cave, searching for their power animal. Sliiiiiide.
During that brief escape, they were also quietly scouting property to buy — as far from their parents’ home as possible.
