World Cup finals
All groups have been finalized based on the official draw results. It will also start from the group stage, skipping the playoffs because people may just want to simulate the finals . The playoff teams are selected through a weighted random system. In each playoff path, teams with higher Elo-rating should have a greater chance of filling the remaining slots.
Streaks
Indicators will appear when a team's goal-related streak(s) (clean sheet, goalless etc) are broken.
Alternative World Cup Finals
This new alternative World Cup format features an initial 12 groups of 4, with the top 2 from each advancing to a Round of 24. The 12 winners from the Round of 24 then proceed to a Second Group Stage. The four winners of this second stage qualify directly for the semi-finals.
Losers World Cup
The tournament has been updated to feature 32 top-ranked teams that did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals (playoff losers will be included once confirmed). Slots are allocated by confederation, with UEFA receiving the most and OFC the fewest. The host nation is chosen from the participating teams, and all participants are seeded based on their elo ratings. Available after you delete your old save.
