Hello everyone, I’m Neo~
Here is the monthly work report.
I’ll introduce the work we’ve done in the past month.
First, here are the optimizations and new features already implemented in the game:
I have adjusted the loading method for the buildings and map tiles in the Back Mountain area, which improves performance when there are many buildings in that region.
I’ve redesigned the UI background images for the manual and backpack panels, as well as the backpack expansion animation. Compared to the previous version, the new version is simpler and clearer, avoiding blurriness in dim or nighttime scenes.

Many players feel lost when starting the game, not knowing how to play. Therefore, I added a beginner quest guide system to help players quickly get into the game. I’ll add more quest flows in the future, especially after the beach version goes live.

I’ve also added a villager task commission system. Each villager will issue unique tasks, and completing these tasks will reward you with friendship points, items, and coins.

Several players commented in the discussion area about wanting to load different save files or create new save slots to try different playstyles. I spent a lot of time reconstructing the game’s underlying data loading system to implement save and load functionality.

Additionally, some other bug fixes and optimizations have been made. For details, please check the Steam game update announcements.
Now, here’s what we’re currently working on but hasn’t been implemented in the game yet:
We’ve spent a significant amount of time designing the seaside area, including its art design and various interactions on the map.
We have completed most of the seaside map, as well as the aquarium and pier.

We’ve created many small beach animals that players can interact with.

Incomplete areas include:
More interactive seaside map content: starfish, seagulls, crabs, shrimp, octopuses, coconut trees, mudskippers, and more.
The initial version of freshwater fish and a few marine fish UI, fish tanks in the aquarium, animations, and related data.
Customizable decoration components for the aquarium interior, such as various types of walls, floors, wallpapers, and lighting.
If time permits, a saltworks area, animations for the saltworks, and villagers working there.
Due to the uncertainty of completing all the initial fishing-related collectible content, fish tank animations, and a large number of UI elements, I’m unsure if everything can be done by the end of January.
If we’re unable to finish on time, I apologize in advance to players who are eagerly waiting. The workload is indeed massive, and there are only two of us working on it. I hope we can complete the initial seaside content and fishing features in time.
Thank you for your support! See you at the end of January~
