Greetings from Rolling Cat Studio, a small team of two humans and three cats!
It's been just over a week since Ink Reverie launched, and we're deeply grateful for your support. Seeing so many players thoughtfully designing and building their homesteads has been both heartwarming and exciting!
We've also received tremendous feedback on game balance, mechanics, and overall experience. Every suggestion has been carefully recorded and reviewed. Right now, we're focused on optimizing the game to make your adventure smoother and more enjoyable!
What We've Been Working On
In the past week, we've delivered near-daily updates addressing critical bugs while also implementing your most requested improvements, including:
Better game balance: Optimized workforce requirements for productive units, adjusted rewards for high-level buildings, and improved resource management for a smoother experience!
New quality-of-life features: Added a Photo Mode (hide UI for free screenshots), Sceneries Tracking, and clearer data statistics to make gameplay more convenient.
A pile of bug fixes: Save file issues, quest blockers, map display errors, and more…

Future Plans
We're carefully evaluating all your feedback - from control responsiveness to late-game depth and other crucial aspects. Our immediate focus will be tackling the most frequently reported issues. We're also fast-tracking development on highly requested features, including:
Batch selection and movement of buildings.
Improved controller support, likely using a virtual cursor + full-screen snapping design.
Expanded judgment range for Sceneries..

Fixed an issue where Clay Mines in Vol. II: Camel Bells did not consume workforce.
Fixed an occasional issue where Clay Mines in Vol. II: Camel Bells could not be placed.
Adjusted water surface effects in Vol. II: Camel Bells.
Fixed a bug where merchants could sometimes purchase items for free.
Fixed a bug where productive units continued consuming resources after being paused.
Fixed an issue where the initial quest for workshops could not be completed.

Optimizations
Added unlock hints for buildings in the Gallery.
Players can now choose to save before exiting the game.
Sceneries can now be pinned to the main interface.
Merchants now have a higher chance to sell decorative blueprints after fully unlocking the Gallery.
Improved controller support in the settings menu.
Adjusted values for Level 6 Forest Stone Mines in Vol. I: Blossom Valley.
Adjusted values for Forest Stone Mines in Vol. II: Camel Bells.
Rebalanced all Level 7-8 Ancestral Shrines to make them more worthwhile.
Adjusted workforce requirements for productive units.
Reduced resource costs for decorative blueprints—costs will no longer increase after building three.
Tweaked some values to make idle play more viable.
Added Photo Mode, which hides all UI, bubbles, and grids while turning grayed-out buildings colorful.
Added workforce deficit statistics and basic production/consumption data for food and mutton.
Added a toggle for V-Sync; try disabling it if experiencing lag.
Adjusted values for villager events in Vol. I: Blossom Valley.
Added ESC key support to open/close the settings panel and exit sub-menus.
Added general control guides (accessible via the "?" button in panels).
Increased the Scholar-Farmer-Artisan-Merchant attributes of all decorative buildings in Vol. V: Chang'an Dream.
Fixed an issue where players might have one fewer land expansion in Vol. V: Chang'an Dream.
Fixed an issue where the settings panel could not be closed from the title screen.
