Added a physics-based bike to make it easier to move around the world in the second half of the game (by the way, it will also have upgrades and you will be able to attach a map or detector).
I'll show you more details when I finish the open world.
Added TV. There are several "state" TV channels that are usually silent (but sometimes the signal gets through jammers).
You can collect cassettes scattered in secret places and use a tape recorder.
The recordings contain both "post - soviet memes" (added by "mods", so as game not to violate intellectual property), and things important for the lore. Experiments of scientists, the life of local "settlers", etc.
Work on the open world is also slowly underway, added new biome, but this system is too complex, it cannot be done quickly.
Added night vision device. Tried to make physically correct shader so that it would react to light correctly, glitches, and lens imitated.
In the last video I added an fps counter, many people write "the game is on UE5, there are probably 5 fps and you need a 5080ti, we've already seen this in other projects". It’s not needed, I’m a programmer first and foremost, and I worry a lot about the technical state of the game, redoing many things 3-5-10 times. For example, I recently spent a 2 month completely rebuilding the systems, folders, and engine to make them even more flexible and simple. This work is invisible, but it is important for the development of large games and allows me to work on such a project alone.
Project is alive and actively developing, I plan to move on to a large video format.
