Hello Commanders,🪖
First off, a massive thank you to everyone who played the demo and shared their thoughts with us. Your support, feedback, and encouragement mean the world to our small team.
It’s been amazing to see how many of you connected with the gameplay, the tactical systems, the unit variety, and the art style. Your enthusiasm reminds us why we’re making this game.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve received tons of valuable feedback. While we’re thrilled that many of you enjoyed the core gameplay, we also heard concerns—especially around the way the story is presented. And we agree. 🫡
Demo – Big Changes Incoming
While we recognize that the story and presentation need improvement, we’ve decided to keep the demo live for those who still want to experience the gameplay and get a feel for Deep Fringe. That said, we know the current structure and dialogue aren’t quite where they need to be. We’re already working on changes to make the narrative more immersive and better aligned with the game loop — something that complements the experience instead of interrupting it. With that in mind, we’ll be taking some time over the coming months to focus on improving it, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to make it better.

Development Plan
We have collected a large number of optimization suggestions and problem feedback in the past two weeks. In terms of negative experiences, feedback on plot performances and texts is the most concentrated. We will gradually present the story through the gameplay and environment within the levels, reduce ambiguous dialogues and frequent load - ings, and strive to achieve a smooth and clear plot experience. Here are some of the things that we will be working on:
- Reduce the AVG - style dialogue performances.
- Increase the narrative of levels and the environment, and reduce the interruption of operations and processes.
- Simplify the concepts and technical terms to make the text more concise.
- Implement a new level architecture to support the progressive exploration of a large - scale level by zones.
- Update the styles of various text boxes.
