Dear Managers,
With this update, we officially close the Update I chapter of the roadmap.
Version 0.4.0 brings a major set of new features, improvements, and fixes focused on decoration, comfort, and stability, preparing the ground for the next phase of development.

Game Direction
Many of you have shared feedback asking for Parisian Brasserie Simulator to move closer to real-life simulation. Your suggestions never go unheard — every idea is reviewed and considered.
This vision will guide the next updates: bringing more depth, more roleplay, and more small interactions, while keeping the option to delegate tasks or disable certain actions for those who prefer a lighter management style.
The fun and slightly quirky tone of the game will, of course, remain — between playful interactions and realistic touches like strikes, the balance between humor and authenticity will continue to define the experience.
Main Additions and New Features
- Time progression rework – A full day (6 AM to 11 PM) now lasts 30 minutes instead of 21 minutes, making the pace of the game more natural and immersive.
- Customers now take 2 to 3 times longer to eat or drink, providing a smoother and more realistic dining experience.
- Overall balance adjustments – Customer flow and affluence have been reworked to better scale with the number of tables available in your restaurant. This rebalance aims to bring the simulation closer to reality and will likely evolve further based on your feedback. As always, your opinions as early access collaborators are invaluable – tell us what you think about this new pacing and what you’d like to see refined next.
- New restaurant decorations – The customization system expands with a whole new collection of decorative items, each with its own mission and objectives.
- New walls
- New floors
- New tables
- New lamps
- New wall plants

- Table number system – You can now freely change your table numbers for better organization and layout management.

- Delivery workers use trolleys – Delivery employees now use the trolley to unload boxes more efficiently.
- Updated brasserie building – The main building has been updated, now including the rooftop (currently closed to access).
- Employee name display – Each employee’s name is now displayed above their head for easier identification.
- Wholesale selling with Big Joe – You can now unload boxes near Big Joe’s delivery area and sell them directly through a long press interaction.
It is also now possible to eject boxes from the trolley by pressing the middle mouse button. The box will make a small jump forward when released, allowing for easier unloading and positioning.
- Notifications for missing ingredients – A new alert appears when employees or barmaids attempt to prepare items with missing ingredients.
- Collision box under stairs – Added a dedicated collision box for employees to prevent them from getting stuck underneath.
- Classic and modern tables can be switched – Table variants can now be swapped freely.
Quality of Life Improvements
- Increased customer flow to match the new receptionist system.
- If you quit while a delivery is unloading, boxes will no longer be lost - a new delivery will be recreated upon your next session.
- Removed the red restricted area around the ground floor stairs, allowing you to place decorative items nearby.
- The objective to unlock the cellar now requires 10 days instead of 15.
- Delivery type (premium, free, or economy) is now saved and automatically preselected.
- Ribeye preparation time reduced from 10s to 5s to make early-game smoother.
- The margin field of the first dish is no longer auto-selected when opening the menu app.
- Adjusted table prices so that they scale consistently based on the number of chairs (x2, x3, x4).
- Updated the visual model for glass labels above the bar.
- Added a button sound effect in the end-of-day applications.
- Replaced locked mission icons with proper reward previews for better clarity on upcoming content.
- Money is now displayed when interacting with the computer
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the restaurant sign could block customers if placed too low.
- Fixed a visual issue in the prologue where the next mission was not displayed properly on screen.
- Fixed the trolley falling through the truck when dropped inside.
- Fixed plate and glass duplication issues.
- Fully reworked physics for trolleys, dish carts, trash bags, and boxes to improve fluidity, especially in co-op.
- Fixed an overflow display issue in the ingredient list on the menu app when too many items were shown.
- Fixed an issue where the delivery truck sometimes failed to stop at the delivery point.
- Fixed an issue where customers occasionally sat in mid-air. If you still encounter this issue, please report it with a screenshot — it would be very helpful.
Next Steps - Update II
The next major update, Update II, is already in development.
It will introduce the long-awaited Breakfast Service: croissants, chocolate bread, and buttered bread with jam.
New events will also bring life and chaos to Paris, including protests, strikes, and rats.

As for the Casino... well, I managed to sneak in last night to grab a picture of the construction progress.
It looks like things are moving along nicely.
I hope you’ll enjoy the preview, because while climbing back over the fence, my clothes got completely torn apart and I ended up stuck on the front facade... hiding behind the Casino sign.

Thank you all for your continued feedback and support!
Your messages, bug reports, and suggestions directly shape the evolution of Parisian Brasserie Simulator.
Stay tuned, Update II is on its way.
You know what would make me really happy? With all these new decorations, I’d love to see your creativity – share your brasserie designs either on the Steam Hub or on Discord!
