Hello everyone!
We’re excited to announce that the second public playtest for Freedome Farmers is officially live starting today, February 16th!
If you’re discovering the game for the first time, welcome!
🌱 What is Freedome Farmers?
Freedome Farmers is a co-op third-person shooter where you and your friends defend your farm against waves of alien possessed farm-animals.
Think:
Action-packed combat
Building and Upgrading defenses
Friendly (or not) competition
Lots of teamwork (and a bit of friendly fire)
Our goal is to create a fun co-op experience that blends shooting + strategy + humor into something fresh.
We highly recommend bringing your friends along. The game is fully playable solo, but it’s even more fun in a group.
🎮 What’s new in this playtest?
This playtest focuses on improving the core gameplay loop, especially the balance between fighting and building.
Here’s what you can try today:
🏗️ Improved Defense Building
New construction and upgrade mechanics
Smoother building and placement system
⚔️ Reworked Combo & Combat Bonuses
A redesigned kill-combo system that boosts your weapons and abilities
New weapon bonus upgrades
A brand new Farmer ability: a powerful shout that blows enemies away, growing stronger with your combo level
🗺️ Updated Battleground Map
We also fully reworked our main playtest map to show the level of quality we’re aiming for in the final game.
💬 We Need Your Feedback!
This playtest is one of the most important steps for the project.
Your feedback will directly help us decide the future direction of the game before we move into full content production (more enemies, defenses, maps, and more).
After playing, feel free to share your thoughts in our Discord:
