After over 2 years in development, I'm very happy to announce that Elite Exorcist Miko is finally available in Early Access! Lots of things have happened during that time, including the introduction of holo Indie, which has been very helpful in making even more things possible for this game! With the current state of the game, you'll have 6 stages (spread across 3 stage tiers), over 20 bosses, and 90 equipment items to enjoy! If you'd like to take a break from bosses, you can also play the Shrine Sweep mode to mow down endless waves of enemies!
I'd like to thank all the friends and contributors who have assisted with assets, translations and playtesting; this game would not be here right now without their help! And of course, a big thank you to everyone who played the demo released back in August. I've received a lot of feedback and suggestions, some of which I've already been able to act on!
Speaking of holo Indie, if you play WOWOWOW KORONE BOX and collect a total of 50 boxes, you'll receive something cool in this game! It's free, so definitely go for it if you'd like to!
So what's next?
First, a small break for me.
Once we enter 2025, I'll continue working on new content while balancing existing stuff and making sure everything's still working. So what's in store?
MORE STAGES, MORE BOSSES, MORE ITEMS!
This will be the main focus as we proceed through Early Access. While I can't guarantee I'll be able to get to everyone, I'd like to add much more hololive members to battle against, and along with them even more stages and equipment! I already have plans for them outlined, and I'm hoping to have updates for each new stage and set of bosses every several months or so. I'll make a follow-up post sometime later with a more detailed roadmap to show you what I have planned!
Making the game more beginner friendly!
Bullet hell is traditionally a pretty intimidating genre, and while there are already a lot of in-game options for beginners such as Assist Options, Offerings and certain equipment items, I understand that this game can still be pretty tough, especially with the focus on melee combat and several additional mechanics. I'm considering adding an Easy Mode or something equivalent to help ease newer players into the gameplay, and maybe more Assist Options as well.
I hope you'll enjoy everything that Elite Exorcist Miko has to offer, now and in the future! Thank you for playing!
