Developers update 17

Welcome to our seventeenth developers update for Call to Arms! We will use these updates to keep you posted on the progress of the development and features.

We at Digitalmindsoft are celebrating our 10th Anniversary this month!

In the last 10 years many things have changed and we are very grateful for the opportunity to work on a game like Call to Arms. Since the start of Early Access, our on-site Team has doubled in size and we will be moving to a new office early next year to continue our growth strategy. We have been collecting a lot of experience and gathered tons of feedback from our community and the game is getting bigger and better every day. All of this would not have been possible without your help, so thank you!

In this regard, we also have some amazing things to announce!

We are currently working on some Eastern European environment setting and we will expand the game by two minor factions that will be part of the GRM campaign DLC. (This DLC will be included in the Deluxe Edition for free) One of the two factions are the Arab government forces that fight against the GRM in the campaign. We are also working on an Eastern European rebellion force that will be a nice fit for to the new scenery. Both factions will make heavy use of the already existing weapons, but each of them comes with unique equipment not available to others.

They will also support the newly introduced alliance feature. The Arab government forces will team up with the US troops, while the Eastern Europeans will join the GRM in multiplayer games.

Furthermore, our artists started to polish the game up and lots of assets have been improved in the last couple of months. Old vehicles will get up to 4 times higher resolution, so that they are rendered with beautiful details even when playing in 3rd person mode. Lots of engine improvements and bug fixes have been done as well. Furthermore, our programmers are working on new features such as helicopters and an in-menu weapons library.

Plenty of new assets and new maps will be available in the 10th anniversary update coming to you next month. Exciting times lay ahead!
