A newly announced WWE event, sponsored by Gears of War: E-Day, is set for fall 2026 and may finally provide a definitive game release date.
Normally, WWE events tease their own WWE 2K games, among other video games and movie releases. During this past weekend’s live broadcast of WWE Backlash, it was revealed that their upcoming new event would be sponsored by Gears of War: E-Day. WWE Triplemania 34 was scheduled as a two-day event in collaboration with Mexican promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, taking place on September 11 and 13. Microsoft’s highly anticipated third-person shooter for Xbox Series X|S and PC still does not have a definitive release date.
On August 31 last year, tag team The Street Profits fought at the Clash in Paris event dressed as characters from Borderlands 4. The game was then released two weeks later.
