We are aware of the current status of the servers. We are working with our server provider to help alleviate the issues. It is not an issue with the servers themselves, as they are performing just fine. It is an issue within the engine, as there is too much data being sent across the network with the new content. The issue was not present with internal testing, and we apologize as we did not release it in this state knowingly.
We are going to lower the amount of item and AI spawns to help reduce the overhead on the network, which will hopefully reduce the crashing issues. We are also going to lower the max players per server down to 8, and we will open more servers as needed. These are just temporary fixes until the issue is resolved.
We are still talking with CryTek during our visit at GDC this week, and they are going to help us with solving this issue and others. Again, these are just temporary solutions until we get the issue corrected. We will increase the player limit, item spawns, and AI spawns back to normal as soon as this is fixed.
