Hey everyone! Fun update about what we got up to last month. I got a bit bored of the wishlist farming on social media, and instead ramped up a community event for some gala artwork for other indie devs. We're still working on that. On to the good stuff, as always tldr;

Game side, the artist made some beautiful expression shots that we will explore further for the dialogue system. I made improvements to the way the dialogue works, and the artist backed that up with new art for the background and nameplate. Take a look at where we are at with that currently.
The mage combat is feeling really good. I made a lot of progress on the abilities, including the ultimate, and went for a 1v11 test drive and came out on top.
I approached a voice actor for some fun skits to explore the characters. This kind of led to me building an audible taunt system for the player characters. It worked out really good. Expanded that to work for all character classes.
Kept working with the actor, I wrote a fun parody song called Dev's Diner about the struggle of indie dev and the importance of continuing to keep going. She sang it perfectly. Came out so well that I just went "You're the mage, let's go, let's do this" and then I wrote a whole bunch of other things that we are going to work on.
Had a good enough time that I went after two more actor's and got some fun lines from them as well.
I also made a significant amount of progress on the reputation progression system. I've got multiple zones in the game right now with their own unique reputation tracker. This is tied into the quest system, the more work you do the more your reputation increases, the more the island begins to work for you and some other things. We'll talk about that later down the road.
All in all it was a really good month. Progress. Collabs. Fun time had by all. Talk to you later mermaid council!
