THIS IS A PRISONER SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.
Prisoners,
There's been substantial discussion around the prison regarding careers in our various institutions. We would firstly like to remind you of the golden rule:
You do not have a right to employment.
Employment Officers are positioned to provide jobs to those who prove themselves capable of, not only handling the added responsibility a job brings, but also able to deliver good quality work on time and in full. Employment is a reward, not a right.
Therefore, it is prudent for me to point out that if you do not deliver your full quota as required by your job role, you will be replaced by someone who is capable of doing so.
There is no exception to this rule, it applies to all prisoners. If you fail to turn up for work whatever the reason, you will be fired. If you do not meet your quota, you will be fired.
No more excuses. I don't want to hear that your cell mate taped you to your bed. I don't want to hear that "Clyde" burned your eyes out with hot chocolate before your shift. I especially do not want to hear the utterly implausible excuse that a ghost came through the walls whilst you were working and proceeded to break your legs with nunchucks. Turn up, do your job - or get fired.
