PRISONERS:
The humble selfie. It splits opinion wherever it’s mentioned. So popular that it has its own peripherals, so annoying that there are petitions calling for them to be illegal.
Good for you then that you’re already in prison.
At HMP Irongate, we’re big fans of the humble selfie. In fact, we love photography in general, which is absolutely the one and only reason why there are security camera on every wall we could find. But this isn’t enough. Prisoners still find ways to avoid being caught on camera, which is why we’re launching a new, crowdsourced CCTV operation: #Cellfies.

The idea is simple. Use Steam’s screenshot or Xbox One’s screen capture features to capture the best and worst moments of your prison experience. Send them to our prisoner monitoring center [WARDEN’s NOTE: Remove this when the post goes out, call it “twitter account”, sounds nicer] here. Each week, we’ll reward one lucky #Cellfie taking con with a The Escapists Hoodie.
But don’t just spam us with your pictures — each week there’ll be a theme to conform to based on our intelligence needs [WARDEN’s NOTE: Remove this. Call it “current events”]. The Warden will pick out the #Cellfie that best fits this theme, so pay attention to the prisoner monitoring center to find out the theme for the current week.
