Hey guys, here's last week's update which we just realised was never posted to the announcements. Sorry about that! Get stuck in, another update will be posted soon!
Things are coming together nicely for the Q3 Early Access launch. All the things we’re working on are getting closer to completion - we should have a release date announced within the next few weeks.
In the meantime, here’s some of what I’ve been working on lately (minus the boring stuff about bug fixing and such!).
Early Access Prison
As I mentioned last week, the final game will have six prisons in total, with Shankton State Pen (the one I originally planned for early access) being the third.
After some thought though, I decided Early Access players should get something fresh and unique that won’t be available in the finished game. So what I’ve been working on is a new prison specifically for early access players.
The prison is close to completion and will showcase all and more of the features that you'e already seen in Shankton. It doesn’t have a name yet, so your ideas and suggestions would be welcome, please post them in the comments below - I’d love to see what you come up with

Visitation
Another feature that’s been discussed in the forums here has now made it’s way in to the game. Players can visit the visitation area, sit down and have one of many random visitors come see them! They will spit out random dialogue from a fairly large database which often comes up with some hilarious outcomes.

I’d love to get some dialogue created by the community in here too, post your ideas below. Focus on punchy, one line comments - that’ll help me optimise them for the game’s database!
Prison Names
Last week I put out the call for you to suggest some names for the prisons that are being worked on for the final game. Here’s a few that I loved;
For the Mexican open prison: El Averno by yager!
For the jungle compound: Ravensdale Correctional Facility by baldurfb!
