Judge "Makes Example" of Jimmy Locke

The legal system kickstarted 2015 with a heavy hand as Judge Jones delivered a sentence of 15 years in a low security detention facility for known con-man and thief; Jimmy Locke.

Locke, who was arrested following a manhunt beginning on Christmas Day, was defiant as his sentence was handed down, having this to say of the verdict:

"I'm innocent! All I did was forcibly enter a house which looked alot like mine. I mean, come on, it's not like you can tell in the dark. And as for that necklace? Who seriously calls the police after a man tries to return your jewelry? All I asked for was £30,000 in exchange, it's not that much. The response was totally disproportionate."

A known con-man, Locke has previously been convicted for similarly audacious crimes, including the attempted sale of Buckingham Palace to a tourist. At trial, Locked brazenly claimed ownership of the palace - "I pay my taxes, right? Surely that place must be at least PARTLY mine".

Judge Jones claimed the sentence was set "as an example to all would-be criminals in 2015. Do the crime, and you'll do some serious time."

Locke will be moved to Center Perks Correctional Facility to serve his sentence in the coming days. More updates on this story as they break.
