I'm Hua Loong, the producer of Trials of Innocence(TOI).
For over a year, our team has been working heads down on this project with minimal public updates - which admittedly isn't the best marketing strategy. Now that launch day is here, I'd like to share some candid thoughts with you.
Due to our team's limited experience and manpower, we've only fully polished the Chinese version at launch. The English and Japanese localization may contain minor imperfections as testing time was tighter than we'd hoped. We solemnly promise to optimize all language versions post-launch and squash any bugs across platforms. If you encounter issues during your playthrough, please accept our sincere apologies. If possible, we kindly hope that you can report the issue to us, and we will expedite the repairs as soon as possible.
There are also 2 extra interlude chapters are on the way (thank you for your patience!),which will be unlocked after completing the main campaign, so enjoy the core narrative worry-free while we finalize the extras!
Having discussed the content related to TOI, I would like to take this opportunity to share with everyone some updates on the production team's next steps.During the production of TOI, we faced a multitude of criticisms and controversies, as well as various unforeseen changes. Despite these challenges, we ultimately succeeded in completing this work.We were able to complete this thanks to the unwavering support of our fans and friends. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every fan who stood by us, and to every player willing to give our creation a fair chance.
as you may already know, this game carries special meaning for us—— it's the final work by our good friend,lead writer of TOI: "Black Cat".
We have never approached this work with any intention of plagiarism or profiteering. Our goal has always been singular—to tell a good story. We hope that you can immerse themselves in the world we've created and experience this captivating story. It's not about taking shortcuts, following clichés, or padding content—it's about a complex yet pure tale of deduction.
Truth be told, our studio is currently surviving on ramen-fueled days (laughs). If TOI can help our team overcome our difficulties, we promise all our players that we will continue to create compelling stories, deliver better experiences, and introduce more gameplay features.
