Hello everyone! Long time no see and we’re back with a brand new demo!
In the previous open demo test, we received a ton of valuable feedback. We fully realize that a playable demo is the fastest way to communicate with players. But it took longer than expected to address everyone’s feedback, especially on tutorials, interaction, and other overall flow and underlying framework issues. Thanks a lot for your patience!
This new demo unlocks almost all content from two major early-game maps: Savage Outskirts and No.6 Middle School. You can now uncover the secrets hidden behind the school. We’ve also added more types of enemies, new bosses, and more weapons. Get ready to fight to your heart’s content!

This version is much closer to our definition of a demo: approachable gameplay that’s easy to understand, plus new content that can keep you engaged for a good stretch of time. Therefore, the demo will be available for longer this time. If you can’t play right away, don’t worry! The test is planned to last until early October. During this period, we’ll continue to read your feedback and keep updating the demo.
Player-Friendly Early-Game Guidance
In earlier versions, many of you mentioned that the tutorial felt tedious and the guidance wasn’t clear. We’ve specifically redesigned the tutorial and map flow to make it easier to grasp game systems. We’ve also added tutorials for crafting medicine, cooking, and other activities to help make it clear how to survive and be stronger.
Enemy distribution and map boundaries have also been adjusted, making the pace smoother and tighter overall. We hope newcomers can pick up the game more quickly, while veteran players still find fresh experiences in the familiar wasteland.

Building Base in Bizarre Zone
Brightness and color tone in the Bizarre Zone were frequently brought up in feedback, so we gave the area a full makeover with freer entry and exit, clearer visuals, plus improved layout and animal behavior. It’s now a proper safehouse you can manage and explore.
New facilities are added, including the fridge, pasture, and dismantling station. The workbench can now be upgraded and do automatic crafting. As the level rises, production becomes more efficient, pushing your base toward industrialization.

Improved Controls & Visual Upgrades
For convenience, we added custom key binding so you can remap controls to your liking. We also addressed the issue that holding Shift to run felt awkward. Now you can now choose between Press to toggle walk/run or Hold to run.
We also optimized lighting effects and environmental details, further improving the visual atmosphere and enhancing immersion in this apocalyptic adventure.
Also, Revelation of Decay has recently been selected for Convergence Showcase and Indie Fan Fest. There will be a gameplay video with my own commentary. If you’re interested, feel free to check it out!
And of course, the demo may still have some unknown bugs. If you encounter any issues during play, you can join our official Discord to report directly to me. I’ll fix them as soon as possible! If you’re interested in the game’s future, please add Revelation of Decay to your wishlist to stay tuned.
