Hey guys! Firstly, we’re sorry about the delays on this update. We changed several things internally that could potentially break the game, so we had to take some extra time to test things out. Even with our efforts, though, you guys will most likely find bugs that slip through. If that’s the case, you can report bugs either here on steam or in our community forums. With that said, let's get to the good part.
Main Improvements
- Health Packs
- Health stations are gone. Instead, we now have health packs scattered around the stages. When you pass through a health pack (if you’re not full health) you’ll pick it up and heal yourself instantly. The amount healed depends on the kind of health pack (big or small). After being pick-up, there will be a 10 seconds cooldown until the next pack appears in that station.
- Infinite Reserve Ammo
- You’ll still need to reload your gun constantly, but your reserve ammo will never end. That change was made for two reasons. The first is that we believe that most players didn’t need to worry about ammo anyway. There was plenty of reserve ammo and you recovered ammo when healing yourself in the health station. Only in very specific cases players would be without ammo. The second reason is that without healing stations, there’s no way to recover ammo anymore. We didn’t like the idea of ammo packs because we already have health packs. Having this extra kind of pack could cause clutter in small stages.
- Weapon secondary function reworked
- Weapon secondary functions are now called weapon skills. Pressing the weapon skill button now changes the weapon, shoots and then changes back to the original weapon. In addition, weapon skills don’t spend any ammo. To compensate for that, weapon skills have a cooldown of 6 seconds. In the current version, there’s no UI to inform if the skill is on cooldown or not, but that will certainly be featured in the new UI.
- The default button for weapon skills was changed to E (was V)
- Map Voting System Changed
- Now players can choose between 4 random maps, with each map representing a different game mode.
- Some shotguns right button is now a melee attack shortcut
- We feel that leaving the right mouse button with a “less than ideal” function is not the way to go. Aiming with shotguns added no extra precision, so it was mostly useless. A melee strike is more fitting to the close quarters, run and gun style of most shotguns. We intend to make more of this kind of changes in the future, reinforcing the playstyle and differences of each gun.
- Shotguns included in the change: Anakonda, Thumper, Bonebreaker, Terminator, Mammoth and Rhino.
- The other shotguns now receive a small precision boost while aiming.
- Shotguns rebalance
- All Shotguns rate of fire and damage decreased. Range and recoil increased.
- The idea here is to make each shotgun shot more effective, while also not making shotguns overpowered.
