What was originally going to be an update fixing a simple bug snowballed into a much larger update, with something that was originally going to be planned for a later update coming much earlier than expected
I suppose we'll talk about the first thing postehaste, that's probably the main thing you guys are wondering about from the title:
While CSD was still in development, we devs had allowed a few friends to make some characters for the game, these characters were Huizhen, Staris, Victorian, Celestielle, Intelligence, Dramatist, and Olympian. What we did not know was that both of owners of these characters were acting strangely behind our backs, lying to us about themselves essentially (By "acting strangely" we mean they were into things/expressing certain behaviors that directly violate some of the themes of the game, etc.). When we devs found out, we cut contact with both owners immediately and made plans to replace the characters that they owned. Originally, we had planned to release these replacement characters during next week's one year anniversary update for the game, but we had to release it earlier because we found out about a bug and by then the assets for the replacements were already in the game
Anyway, we hope you enjoy the replacements for these characters, we already love them ourselves!
Now, onto the rest of the regularly schedualed update:
Quality of life fixes:
-Improved audio on all cutscenes, now these sound louder so you can hear them better!
-Grammar/spelling fixes
-Made changes to what you get when 100% the game to reflect the replacement characters being included
-Removed prior owners of guest characters from the credits, since their characters were replaced and aren't in the game anymore
-When sleeping, HP and MP are fully restored
-Made it so that you don't have to do the tea party quest to progress through Shadvaille
Bug fixes:
-Fixed a bug where you were unable to progress in Shadvaille after bringing Oraney to Strawberry during the tea party quest
Plans for 2026:
As stated prior, the anniversary update is coming up next week. What will be included with that is a surprise until it releases, but we're sure you guys will certainly enjoy it!
Due to feedback that the attack wheel gets repetitive during longer battles, we plan on doing a complete overhaul to the combat system in the game. This will probably be later in the year though, as there would be a lot that would have to go into the new system (well, we'll tell you one thing... There will be voice acted bits here when it's complete!)
The Russian translation is going slowly but steadily, Passive route is almost complete! As of writing this, we're working on translating the first half of Incen, so hopefully it won't take too long until it's done, we know you guys have been waiting!
