Fixes:
Fixed a bug in which map marker data would be exponentially duplicated on save -- resulting in large save files and a laggy or unusable in game map. If you are affected by this -- save and reload which will clear the data.
Yet more changes to the caravel to try to address reports of 20,000 leagues cosplay. (I remain unable to replicate this, so any fixes are purely speculative.)
Numerous adjustments and fixes to the tiller controls to bring handling inline with other steering methods, as well as allowing centering controls.
Improved functioning of tiller auto trim to better maintain course, as with other ships.
Fixed anchor prompts getting stuck on troller caravel.
Fixed non-functioning mooring ropes on troller caravel.
Fixed invisible cliffs on Sandy Isle.
Fixed duplicate cargo ID's that would result in inconsistent product labels. (i.e. wooden goods could turn into dried fish.) If you currently have one of these tasks -- the fix will not apply -- but will not affect your ability to finish the task.
Changes:
Wind direction is now more controlled. Rather than a full reroll on weather change -- the new wind direction must be within ~30 degrees of the previous direction to prevent radical shifts.
Weather conditions are now applied instantly on reload, instead of building over a period of time from the default weather.
Wind direction is now more reliably retained on save/reload.
Adjusted colliders on Xebec to make the stepped surface around the helm less annoying.
Known issues:
Sometimes the ship will become kinematic with no colliders. Cause is currently unknown -- but under investigation. Issue is not persistent, and reload will fix.
Mooring rope state is still not persistent.
Upcoming:
The first ship built for Following Seas was the Dhow. It has since been removed due to the model not reaching the standard of newer ships. Bit by bit I have been tweaking the model and bringing the model up to current standards. This ship will be about 50% greater in tonnage to the caravel. Significantly longer, but of similar beam. As the first single masted vessel, controls will be straightforward -- and will offer broadly similar performance to the caravel, with the downside of being comparatively delicate. (When damage is implemented.)
