- Players can now be burnt to death.
Changes
- Entity vision is now halved in foggy conditions.
- Made slight adjustments to fog density and appearance.
- The starting cell now always generates a door.
- The initial door can no longer generate as locked.
- Adjusted door mechanics to require proper timing for enemy stuns, preventing spamming.
- Enemies are now stunned if struck by a door being knocked down.
- Knocking down doors is now seamless for client players, even at higher ping, when using the sledgehammer.
- Reintroduced vision fading, as it was not the cause of black screening issues.
- Removed cycle difficulty display from the Data Deck in Escape Mode.
- Fixed a desynced desk in the Tunnels Station.
- Lowered the volume of the electric shock sound effect.
- Improved audio clarity for elevator arrival sounds.
- Pentagon entity spawn times are now consistent across all difficulty levels.
- The unpaid travel fee per credit has been increased from $300 to $400.
- Slightly increased map generation speed.
- Increased map generation size.
- Reduced the time it takes to begin generating after pulling the train brake, and decreased the delay before the train departs after pulling the brake to leave.
Nightmare Changes
- Nightmare Mode now begins at the withering difficulty level.
- In Nightmare Mode difficulty now increases with each cycle.
- Nightmare Mode debt starts at $100 credits now.
- Reduced Nightmare loot value multiplier from 2.5x to 1.55x.
- Nightmare Mode no longer doubles enemy spawns.
- Power now goes out at 8 PM in Nightmare Mode.
With these changes, Nightmare Mode now offers a true challenge, aligning more closely with the difficulty the game was originally envisioned to have.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug in Escape Mode where certain entities, such as the spider and ventress, were no longer spawning. (bug introduced in v1300)
- Fixed a bug that allowed equipment to be used while the Data Deck was open by swapping items between slots.
- Fixed an issue in the door code that prevented alarmed doors from showing a kicked motion when kicked, as well as other issues like the inability to lock the door or missing closing sounds.
- Fixed an issue where the stun animation for entities would occasionally fail to trigger.
- Made further adjustments to address and hopefully fix black screening issues on death.
- Fixed an issue where the Forsaken would not make any idle noises for client players.
